In the life of Jesus we admire not only his holiness, but also the power that was manifested in his ministry. He performed many miracles and wonders. He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, raised the dead, walked on water, multiplied food, preached to the multitudes, made disciples and taught them to please their father. With what power did He do this? Everything Jesus did was by the power of the Holy Spirit of God.
Died For Our Sins
All people speak and even unbelievers know that Jesus died for our sins. But we will not have spiritual revelation until we know why this death was necessary. Why did God demand the death of his only son? In order to know the love of God, it is also necessary to know his holiness and justice. God is perfectly holy and perfectly just. It cannot bear even what would be a “small mistake” for us. His holiness is offended by any form of sin and his justice requires punishment. So is God. When the unity between spirit, soul and body is broken then physical death occurs.
